FAQs - Decorations
Can I bring decorations/confetti?
Yes you are welcome to bring balloons and flowers. We ask guests not to bring confetti as the dye can damage our tables and floor.
Please help us meet our sustainability goals by sourcing plastic-free or recyclable decorations.
Can I drop off decorations or other supplies for the day?
Yes we have some limited storage space to store items before the day.
FAQs - Food & Drink
Can I use my own caterer?
Yes we are happy to host external caterers and have a kitchen access charge of £125+VAT. We only accept professional caters with insurance and current hygiene certification. We also take a cleaning & breakage deposit of £100 which is returned within 7 days of the event if everything is in order.
Can I bring my own drinks?
Yes. We charge a corkage fee of £10+VAT per head.
If you are purchasing one of our drinks packages but wish to bring in some special bottles for toasting please speak to us for alternative pricing.
Can I put a tab on the bar?
You are welcome to put a tab on the bar, after which we can charge guests directly. We also offer a number of inclusive drinks packages that offer great value.
FAQs - Venue
Is there any wiggle room on the capacity numbers?
Yes to some extent. For standing receptions 100 is our absolute maximum. For seated events 50 guests can comfortably be seated on two banquet tables in our winter garden room. We can sometimes squeeze in additional guests depending on the table setup.
Are all the plants & flowers included in the hire?
All the live plants in the venue are permanent fixtures. From time to time we do have a changing hanging floral installation provided by McQueens Flower School. Unfortunately as these are booked in only a few weeks in advance we're unable to guarantee there will be one in place at the time of your wedding.

FAQs - Music & DJs
Can I bring a DJ or live band?
Unfortunately we are not able to host DJs or large live bands due to sound restrictions placed on us.
Can I have an acoustic musician?
We do allow acoustic musicians with a single amp in most circumstances provided the music ends before 10pm.
Can I play my own music playlist?
Yes. We have an integrated sound system and you are welcome to plug in you own device or supply us with a Spotify playlist. Please note that we are not able to get the sound volume to a 'danceclub' level.
FAQs - Everything else
Can we access the garden during the event?
Due to noise restrictions we are usually not able to host events outside. Check with us for more information.
Is parking available?
We can arrange parking for up to 2 cars, but typically these are reserved for supplier loading. Parking on Hackney Road is allowed from 7pm directly outside the venue, and metered parking is available before 7pm in nearby roads. There is a loading bay directly outside the venue which operates Mon-Fri from 10am-4pm.
